In Continuation from my last exhibition -Down Time, where I looked into the theme of stillness and relaxation. In Small Thoughts, I further explores the importance of ‘looking inwards’ and ‘self-knowledge’, to identify and embrace the real thoughts behind one’s mind. I was deeply inspired by Eva Hoffman - How to be Bored. Explaining the connotation of “reverie” as ‘a kind of non- judgemental attention in which we allow images, memories or indiscriminate associations to float to the surface of our minds and stop ourselves from fending them off, no matter how insignificant they may seem’. Through Small Thoughts, I am trying to encourage everyone to ‘think within’ and pull out all the random small thoughts (even if they are irrelevant) and embrace them.
